Celebrity chef David Burke has a long track record of creating winning restaurant concepts. As if a nod to that, his latest restaurant is named G.O.A.T. Pizza—the acronym meaning the “greatest of all time,” a term often deployed to describe elite athletes.

Located in the northern suburbs of Charlotte, North Carolina, the new restaurant sticks to a sports theme throughout—from the decor inside the restaurant to the pizzas featured on the menu. The menu features the Babe Ruth Meat Lovers (fennel sausage, prosciutto, pepperoni, bell peppers and mushrooms), and, of course, The G.O.A.T. Pizza (tomato sauce, goat cheese, fig, prosciutto, arugula and olive oil.

As reported by the Charlotte Observer, another key component of the menu is the “Championship Pasta” lineup, featuring things like Fanzone Alfredo, Red Zone Ravioli and Slap Shot Spaghetti and Meatballs.

The walls of G.O.A.T. Pizza are adorned with jerseys of athletes who have been deemed the “greatest of all time” in their respective sports: Michael Jordan, Tom Brady and Joe Montana. Other great athletes and teams with local ties to the Charlotte area are also honored, including Steph Curry, the Carolina Panthers, and Clemson football.

“Creating this menu and curating our sports memorabilia collection has been so much fun,” Burke said to CharlotteFive. “Our dedicated team has played a pivotal role every step of the way, making sure we give folks a great time in a prime location.”

While G.O.A.T. Pizza will not be Burke’s first pizza concept, it will be the first to use the word “pizza” in the name. The pies Burke and his team create at Woodpecker by David Burke, an upscale pizza restaurant in New York city, are thin-crust, wood-fired pies. It would appear G.O.A.T. Pizza will offer a similar style.
