“That support was evidenced by a 50 percent sales increase on Tuesday and nearly doubling on Wednesday after Sarillo sent an email to 16,000 people in the restaurant’s frequent-customer database. Five minutes after the 3 p.m. Tuesday email went out, the calls started pouring in and the email went viral as those customers forwarded it on to friends, to The Courier-News and onto Facebook, Sarillo said. ‘I thought I knew what was going on until we got such a great response. I am overwhelmed with the positive response,’ Sarillo said.”
