Pass the tandoori chicken and put it on my pizza please. That's the approach that the new owners of Yummy's Pizza and Ice Cream (pictured at left) are taking with their Phoenix restaurant.

Bizjournals.com says Yummy's is a family-owned pizza restaurant that opened last week near 27th Avenue and Van Buren Street in Phoenix, featuring pizza with an Indian twist.

The restaurant's signature pizza, according to owner Kevin Patel is topped with tandoori chicken — a dish that's popular in India, where Patel's family came from. Patel  is the founder of Convrrt, a company that offers an online marketing automation tool.

The restaurant also features more traditional pizza combinations, chicken wings and ice cream from a vendor in Chicago.
