The sixth annual FODC has scaled up and moved to The Cosmopolitan in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip after previously being held at The Mirage. To reflect the growth in delivery, drive-thru, takeout and off-premises dining formats, FODC has expanded its programming across the board.

This year’s FODC will begin with a look at the state of the industry, as well as a keynote conversation with Salad and Go CEO Charlie Morrison, formerly Wingstop’s chairman and CEO for nearly a decade.

That first day will include a cross-industry roundtable with Stefania Mallett of ezCater; Stephanie Sollers of Virtual Dining Concepts; Olo’s Noah Glass; Savneet Singh of PAR; and Michael Montagano of Kitchen United, led by Food On Demand Editor Tom Kaiser. Day one will close out with a session on marketing to omni-channel guests, as well as the Third-Party Deep Dive, where attendees will hear directly from the largest third-party delivery providers.

The second day of programming includes three simultaneous tracks touching on topics like advance drive-thru and takeout technology; exclusive data to understand a shifting market; an in-depth look at multi-channel restaurant pricing and alternative delivery solutions; the ongoing growth of autonomous delivery devices; and tangible ways to improve off-premises food quality.

Featuring restaurant operators of all types, additional sessions include a panel of big-brand chief marketing officers, independent virtual restaurant operators and large, multi-unit operators, plus a panel led by Cheng Cohen’s Amy Cheng on how large franchise systems and franchisees can negotiate better third-party delivery contracts.

As economic uncertainty remains elevated, industry backer and attorney Andrew Peskoe will moderate a panel of high-level restaurant and food-tech investors, including Brita Rosenheim of Vita Vera Ventures, Pericles Mazarakis of Trispan Capital, and Jimmy Frischling of Branded Strategic Hospitality—all of whom will share where they’re placing bets this year.

Attendees are encouraged to stick around for the last day, which will include a Q&A session led by restaurant consultants Fred LeFranc of Results Thru Strategy and Scott Landers of Figure 8—both of whom specialize in delivery, digital identity and off-premises growth strategies. Last-day sessions also include virtual restaurant operators sharing their secret to long-term growth with delivery-only brands.

Another new addition for 2023 is the Catering Growth Forum, hosted in partnership with ezCater. Held on the morning of Wednesday, May 3, before FODC officially begins, the Catering Growth Forum will cover strategies to understand how the catering market is shifting, how to attract high-value customers, and what operators of all kinds can learn from industry experts, including a look at the best tools for meeting the demands of your own catering business.
