As more customers turn to food delivery and carryout during the coronavirus pandemic, Domino’s is gearing up to hire thousands of workers to meet the demand.
The company has said it’s looking to hire around 10,000 fulltime and part-time employees, including delivery drivers, pizza makers, customer service representatives, managers and assistant managers. The company’s supply chain centers also need Class A CDL drivers.

Many states and municipalities have ordered restaurants to cease offering dine-in services, and President Trump has urged Americans to avoid eating in restaurants. In response, more restaurants of all types are offering delivery, including those that never delivered before, as well as curbside pickup.
“While many local, state and federal rules are closing dine-in restaurants, the opportunity to keep feeding our neighbors through delivery and carryout means that a small sense of normalcy is still available to everyone,” said Richard Allison, Domino’s chief executive officer. “Our corporate and franchise stores want to make sure they’re not only feeding people, but also providing opportunity to those looking for work at this time, especially those in the heavily-impacted restaurant industry.”
Facing uncertainty about the spread of the coronavirus and its impact, the National Restaurant Association has projected the restaurant industry stands to lose $225 billion in revenue over the next three months. The organization has sent a proposal to the president and Congress requesting more than $325 billion in government relief to help restaurateurs and their employees.
