According to The State Hornet, “Sacramento State students sent 14 solidarity pizzas to CSU Fullerton Wednesday night to support students with their sit-in protest of fee hikes and budget cuts.”

“An estimated 50 students participated in the four-day sit-in at CSU Fullerton. Sac State student organizer Amanda Mooers, senior sociology major, said sending the pizzas was a way to express the same kind of solidarity Sac State students received during their three-day sit-in in Sacramento Hall. ‘We know how great it felt to be taking some risks for higher education when people showed their support. By bringing food in and supplies, it was clear we weren’t in it alone,’ Mooers said.”

“Mooers said Sac State students, faculty and staff were fed a good amount of pizza during their Sacramento Hall occupation. In addition to supporting fellow student protestors with pizza, some Sac State students drove to the Fullerton campus Tuesday night to show their support in person. The sit-in at CSU Fullerton would have continued for longer than four days if CSU Fullerton president Milton Gordon had not agreed to work with students to fight budget cuts.”
