(New Orleans, LA) – Zatarain’s is once again jazzing it up!  The company recently launched a new interactive website for foodservice operators.   By logging on to www.zatarainsfoodservice.com, users can access a wealth of information, watch step-by-step cooking demonstration videos, and even register for a free 24 X 36 poster featuring photographs of 12 classic New Orleans dishes.

“It’s really a great website,” said Zatarain’s Director of Foodservice, Dudley Passman.  “It has all of the essential information on our products, but it also has some elements that make it fun.   It’s just very comprehensive.  I think they’ll really enjoy the new site.”

The new website also includes recipes for nearly 25 classic New Orleans dishes, everything from Roast Chicken & Cajun Brown Gravy to Shrimp Creole.  “The culture of New Orleans is really defined by its food,” Passman said.  “At Zatarain’s, our mission is to share that culinary heritage with our friends and customers.  It’s about authentic, cherished recipes that have been handed down through the generations.”

To make it even easier, there are also three cooking demonstration videos on the website.  In one of them,  Passman shows users how to prepare Zatarain’s Ultimate Jambalaya for foodservice.  From the browning of the meats, to insider tips, to the final presentation, Passman does it all.  “Jambalaya is a great tradition in New Orleans.  It’s so full of flavor, versatile and easy.”  There is also a video that offers tips on using Zatarain’s seasonings for crab boils.  The third demonstration includes breading and frying techniques.

“From grandmothers to executive chefs,” Passman says, “they all understand the secret to deep frying is in the breading.  At Zatarains, we pay attention to the details in our products.  Our seasonings offer just the right combination of spices.”

Foodservice operators can also download sales sheets, learn more about Zatarain’s products and history, and access a variety of professional food photographs.  The free poster is available simply by filling out a short registration form.  The poster includes 12 different photographs of classic New Orleans dishes including Seafood Gumbo and Red Beans and Rice.

“We hope our customers will use this website,” said Passman.  “We want it to be a tool to make their jobs easier.  Hopefully, they can have a little fun too.”
