According to a news report from uticaod.com, “If you’re a fan of the HBO series “The Sopranos” who is mourning the end of your favorite series, Patrick Scavone, owner of the mob-themed Goodfellas Pizzeria in Whitesboro has an event that might ease your pain.”

“To promote the pizzeria, and “stick with the theme,” Scavone, invited Joe Gannascoli, better known to fans as hitman Vito Spatafore, to do a book signing, T-shirt signing and promotional event,” said the story. “He’s got a cookbook out. It’s actually more of a novel than a cookbook,” Scavone said. Gannascoli will be at the Goodfellas Pizzeria 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, to promote his culinary crime novel “A Meal to Die For,” as well as his line of cigars through Rocky Patel Premium Cigars. The restaurant is decorated with memorabilia from mafia movies like posters and signed photographs.”
