According to a news report from CentreDaily.com, “Beaver Avenue reopened after being closed this morning while firefighters battled a blaze at Margarita’s Pizzeria, 222 W. Beaver Ave.”
“The fire was contained to the “pizza area” of the shop, a State College police sergeant said. By 9:45 p.m., less than an hour after the fire was reported, the blaze had been brought under control, and firefighters were working to ventilate the structure for smoke,” said the story. “Beaver Plaza apartment complex, next to the pizzeria, was evacuated. Beaver Avenue was closed at 9 a.m. for about an hour.”
