On Saturday, Oct. 28, Red’s Savoy Pizza opened its 20th location—and its first store in North Dakota.

The new store, located in Fargo, North Dakota, will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily and is centrally located off of I-29. The population of North Dakota’s largest city—which is located just across the border from Red’s home base in Minnesota—has expanded over 20% since 2010.

“With so many Minnesota transplants in the Fargo area already familiar with Red’s Savoy Pizza, we’re really excited to have this store open and to serve the growing and thriving Fargo community,” said Reed Daniels, CEO of Red’s Savoy Pizza. “Our Fargo franchise owners will do an amazing job bringing Sota-Style pizza to the area.”

As Daniels alludes to, Red’s Savoy Pizza is famous for it’s Minnesota-Style—or “Sota-Style”—pizza. The characteristics of Sota-Style pizza include having a thin crust, being square cut and typically piled with a lot of toppings, cheese and a spicy “passive-aggressive” sauce that Red’s Savoy Pizza is widely credited with creating.

Dave Erickson and Jordan Salgat, the owners of the new store in Fargo, are no strangers to the Fargo community. The duo currently owns and operates the Bulldog Tap & Cowboy Jack’s in Fargo.

“Fargo needs good, quality pizza, and Red’s Savoy Pizza is just that,” Erickson said. “We look forward to serving ‘wow-worthy’ food everyday.”

Customers can order from the Fargo store online, via the Red’s Savoy Pizza app, by calling the store directly or by walking into the storefront. Delivery will be available shortly after opening.

Red's Savoy Pizza is famous for its 'Sota-style' pies, which feature a spicy marinara sauce.
