There’s more to life than pizza—there’s also music. Catch-a-Fire Pizza, a three-store chain in Ohio, will put them together in a live music series celebrating spring and summer at two of its locations.

Local bands will perform every Thursday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at one of Catch-a-Fire’s locations in Blue Ash or Lebanon, Ohio. “We have a passion for live music, and we’ve always envisioned having local acts play at our restaurants,” said Melissa Ledford, co-owner of Catch-a-Fire Pizza.

To kick off the live music season, Catch-a-Fire has booked Passafire, one of the owners’ favorite bands, along with Crooked Coast, to perform on Friday, April 14, at its Lebanon location. Passafire is a reggae rock band from Savannah, Georgia, that has been touring as a national act for more than 10 years. “We have been following Passafire for many years, and we are very excited to be able to host them and bring their music to people in Lebanon and Cincinnati,” Catch-a-Fire Pizza co-owner Jeff Ledford said.

The Passafire concert is a free show from 7-10 p.m., with a special VIP ticketed performance from 6-7 p.m. before the main event. The VIP portion of the show is an intimate meet-and-greet experience, where guests will mingle with the band and hear a few acoustic songs that will not be played during the concert. Each $65 VIP ticket also includes a Catch-a-Fire Pizza Party and a limited edition Catch-a-Fire + Passafire T-shirt.

Catch-a-Fire’s regular live music series starts on Thursdays in early May. They have booked a series of musicians representing a variety of genres, from Latin to folk, rock, blues and reggae. The live music events are also paired with the chain’s “Thirsty Thursdays” pint nights, with local breweries featuring select craft beers discounted at $5 a pint.

The musicians will perform in Catch-a-Fire’s outside dining area.

Catch-a-Fire Pizza serves wood-fired pizzas, appetizers, salads and a unique selection of craft beer and wine, plus a wide variety of healthy, plant-based options. The chain’s creative pizza combinations include the Cherry Oh Baby, topped with guanciale, taleggio and beer-soaked sour cherries. In addition to its thin wood-fired pizza crust, Catch-a-Fire also offers a thicker, Sicilian-style pizza with a housemade sourdough focaccia.
