Boca Raton, Fla. – During the month of February, Steve’s Wood Fired Pizza will be donating a portion of the proceeds of each heart-shaped vegetarian pizza sold to the Boca Raton American Heart Association chapter.

According to the American Heart Association, cardiovascular diseases, including stroke, are the nation’s number one killer. While heart disease and stroke kill one in every 3.7 men, one in 2.4 women lose their lives to heart disease and stroke. With these staggering statistics, Steven Greenberg, owner of Steve’s Wood Fired Pizza, feels an obligation to contribute.

“We have been in the Boca Raton community since 1999 and are proud to give back,” said Greenberg. “We will specially prepare the vegetarian pizza into a heart shape to bring awareness to February’s American Heart Month.”

The vegetarian pizza is a cheeseless pizza made with tomato sauce, grilled eggplant, zucchini, squash, mushrooms, red onions, tomatoes, broccoli florets and fresh oregano.

Steve’s Wood Fired Pizza offers its guests 50 different types of freshly-prepared thin-crust pizzas with cheese, five cheeseless pizzas and 55 different toppings to choose from to make a distinctive pizza. The pizzeria also serves appetizers, sandwiches, salad wraps, pastas, and desserts, as well as an array of coffees, teas, soft drinks, wine and beer. Its 10″ artisan pizzas are made with fresh ingredients, hand-rolled dough, and low-fat mozzarella cheese, and are specially prepared in a wood-fired oven from Italy. The Tuscan designed 1,200 sq. ft. pizzeria seats 40 guests and is decorated with antiques that Greenberg collected throughout the years.
