Old Scratch Pizza, a four-location brand based in Dayton, Ohio, is entering the retail game with the launch of its signature housemade Hot Honey in a local gourmet grocer, Dorothy Lane Market.

Old Scratch Hot Honey is made with Calabrian chilies, cayenne, crushed red pepper and garlic, creating a blend of sweet and spicy flavors that have kept customers buzzing since the pizzeria’s opening day in 2016. The product was crafted specifically for Old Scratch’s fan-favorite pizza, the Angry Beekeeper.

With this new retail offering, Old Scratch is aiming to expand its popular condiment beyond the pizzeria, creating a sweet-heat drizzle or dip for customers’ own at-home dishes. The brand announced that its decision to bottle and sell Hot Honey with Dorothy Lane Market was a natural progression as it continues to innovate and expand its offerings.

“Our Hot Honey has been a staple on our menu since day one, and we’re excited to see it take on a life of its own beyond our restaurant walls,” says Old Scratch owner Eric Soller. “We can’t wait for customers to experience the flavors at home that they’ve come to love in our restaurant.”

Old Scratch Pizza, known for its pizza, wood-fired vegetables and a large selection of regional craft beers, is aiming to be a leader in the local and regional restaurant community—and now a successful retail manufacturer. The 12-ounce bottles of Old Scratch’s Hot Honey are now available for purchase at all Dorothy Lane Markets, as well as inside Old Scratch Pizza’s locations in southwestern Ohio: Dayton, Centerville, Beavercreek and Troy.
