“Award-winning celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck adds to his empire by opening Wolfgang Puck Pizza | Bar in south Charlotte. Located in Phillips Place, this 120-seat restaurant is the flagship location of the upscale-casual concept,” according to the Charlotte Observer.

“Its urban rustic decor creates a warm and inviting atmosphere to enjoy a new Italian-influenced menu of soups, salads, appetizers, pastas, sandwiches, grilled items and desserts. The stars of the menu are 17 signature pizzas, created in a hickory wood-burning oven on dough that takes nine days to produce. It is perfectly chewy and just a touch sweet, with a slight sourdough flavor. Toppings range from the traditional pepperoni to a decidedly nontraditional (and delicious) smoked salmon. Other choices include a house-made lamb sausage, prosciutto, roasted wild mushroom, and potato and egg.”
