First Ever Behind-The-Scenes Video Shows How Wines Are Rated
NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–WineSpectator.com, the most visited wine Web site on the Internet, has released a first-of-its-kind video giving an unprecedented look at how the blind-tasting process works at Wine Spectator magazine. The video, Inside Wine Spectator’s Tasting Department, is viewable on their homepage or from their Video Theater page.
The five minute-plus video features an in-depth, behind-the-scenes tour with tasting director, Bruce Sanderson. It details every step of the process, as wines are received, checked into their extensive database, organized and stored in the cellar and finally blind-tasted by Wine Spectator editors.
Wine Spectator reviews more than 15,000 wines each year, with a tasting team of 15 people in four offices around the world. This represents the first time ever that Wine Spectator has posted actual footage of their tasting process and facilities.
