Baltimore’s authentic Neapolitan pizza restaurant Verde, proudly joins local businesses to celebrate Italy’s Liberation Day (Festa della Liberazione). From 

April 23 through April 25, 2014, Verde and other community restaurants and businesses will partner with Fiat America, Uber and Pepsi to o!er delicious discounts and palatable promotions to commemorate Italian Liberation Day. 

Celebrated annually in Italy on April 25th with food festivals, concerts, and rallies, the national holiday marks the fall of Mussolini’s Italian Social Republic and the end of the Nazi occupation in 1945. Verde and partners also wish to acknowledge the heroic e!orts of the allied forces at the end of World War II, and honor the relationship the United States and Italy have since achieved.

Baltimore-area eateries joining the culinary celebration of Liberation Day, will o!er tasty perks to customers who show their Uber app. The itinerary includes Sotto Sopra and Sammy’s Trattoria on Wednesday, April 23, La Tavola and Cafe Gia’s on Thursday, April 24, concluding with a day chock full of festivities with Verde on Friday, April 25. Riders who enter the promo code LIBERATION into their Uber app before requesting a pick up, will receive a 25% discount on rides to the restaurants.

Verde’s fun Friday events include:

●12:00-3:00PM: Verde to deliver complimentary Neapolitan pizza in Fiat 500s, to historic locations around Baltimore, as symbolic gesture of gratitude. Confirmed locations include Visit Baltimore Visitor’s Center, Pride of Baltimore II, Fort McHenry, Living Classrooms, Four Seasons Hotel and more. Promotional gifts will be distributed at each stop.

●4:30-6:30PM: Fiat to o!er test drives of three Fiat 500s parked in front of Verde 

●4:30-7:00PM: Italian Liberation Day Reception at Verde:    

 -Complimentary food and drinks at Verde

 -Ra$e prizes to include: Verde gift cards, Peroni gift baskets, Pride of Baltimore II cruises, 

 Canton Car Wash packages and more

 -Uber will discount trips to Verde by 25%, for users who enter code LIBERATION in their app.

All proceeds from Verde’s ra$e will be donated to “Friends of Patterson” and “Italian Cultural Center of Maryland.”
