ATLANTA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–William Vincent, author of numerous books and articles on franchising and a top franchise attorney and college professor, and Dan Marshall, a former executive with Techtronics and Intergraph, both Fortune 500 companies, will introduce Marco’s Ah! Thentic Italian Pizza to Atlanta and announced plans to open up to 21 Marco’s Pizzas in Atlanta.
Jack Butorac, Jr., president of Marco’s Franchising, based in Toledo where it was founded 28 years ago by Italian native Pasquale “Pat” Giammarco, announced the agreement.
“To attract franchises with the credentials and business acumen of William Vincent and Dan Marshall, underscores what we have believed all along at Marco’s,” Butorac said. “We have the product and system in place to grow. William is one of the best franchise attorneys in the world and an assistant professor of management and business law at Mercer University in Atlanta. Dan is a savvy businessman and franchise and real estate broker. We are elated to have attracted such quality people into our system.”
Georgia will represent the ninth state for Marco’s Pizza which currently has 155 units in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina and Wisconsin. This Spring the Company will open a store in Florida, and Butorac has projected the company to have units in 10 states by 2007 and 500 stores by 2010.
“Dan Marshall approached me about partnering with him to develop Marco’s Pizza in Atlanta,” Vincent recalled. “I have spent years teaching and practicing franchise law. I have dealt with numerous franchisors. Marco’s Pizza is the real deal. They have the product, system and people in place to make it work.”
Marshall and Vincent and their company Rambling Brands, LLC plan to open their first unit in Georgia in late 2007.
They will offer the Marco’s menu of custom made Ah! Thentic Italian Pizzas, fresh baked subs, chicken wings, salads and soft drinks with carryout and delivery service.
