Top 10: States with the Most Overweight Kids

According to Restaurants and Institutions magazine, “adult obesity rates are rising quickly, but what’s especially alarming is how fast kids are following suit, according to “F as in Fat: How Obesity Politics Are Failing in America,” a 2009 study released by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Trust for America’s Health.”

“Schools and governments are battling the trend. For example, 19 states have laws establishing farm-to-school programs. Still, there’s a lot more work to be done. Here, the 10 places with the highest percentages of overweight or obese kids.”
