Slice House by Tony Gemignani, the fast-casual pizza franchise founded by 13-time world pizza champion Tony Gemignani, will open its newest location in Palmdale, California, on March 1. The restaurant, operated by franchisee Pouya Moalej, will host a grand opening event that will include an appearance by Gemignani. The event will include book signings of The Pizza Bible and The Pursuit of Pizza, and promotional giveaways, including a raffle for a year of free pizza for the first 50 paying guests.

The Palmdale location marks the 17th Slice House restaurant, continuing the brand’s growth in Southern California. Like its other locations, it will offer a mix of New York, Sicilian, Grandma and Detroit-style pizzas, available by the slice or whole pie. The menu also includes fresh pasta, wings, salads and a selection of craft beer and wine.

As part of its launch, the Palmdale store will introduce a new specialty pizza, The Spicy Greek, developed by Gemignani in collaboration with Moalej. The New York-style pizza features Zoe’s Meats Ghost Pepper Salami, Mediterranean olives, feta and mozzarella cheese, peppadew peppers, red onion, basil, oregano, Romano and garlic oil. The pizza will be available exclusively at the Palmdale location and sold by the slice.

Slice House Palmdale is positioned within a high-traffic commercial hub, joining national chains such as Target, Chick-fil-A and Habit Burger & Grill. With proximity to shopping centers and Palmdale Regional Medical Center, the location aims to attract commuters, medical professionals, families and students looking for quick-service and takeout options.

The restaurant features indoor seating for 35 guests and an 18-seat outdoor patio. It will offer takeout, online ordering and delivery, operating seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

For Moalej, the new location represents an opportunity to bring an established brand to a growing market.

“For commuters in need of reliable takeout, professionals looking for a quick lunch, or families gathering for a meal, we’re confident Slice House will become a local fixture,” Moalej said.

Founded in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood in 2010, Slice House has expanded steadily. The brand has focused on a franchise-driven model, leveraging Gemignani’s industry reputation and expertise in multiple pizza styles.

With continued expansion, Slice House aims to position itself as a go-to concept for high-quality, multi-style pizza in a fast-casual format. The Palmdale opening reflects its strategy of entering high-visibility retail centers while maintaining a focus on quality ingredients and traditional techniques.
