What happens when robots take over the pizza biz? Alex Garden, co-founder of Zume Pizza in Mountain View, California, aims to find out. Two specially designed robots work in Zume’s kitchen, saucing pies and popping them into the oven, even though humans still handle the toppings and the cheese (and, of course, drive the delivery vehicles, as pictured above). Garden’s long-term plan is to make the process entirely automated. “Just imagine Domino’s without the labor component,” he recently told Bloomberg.com. “You can start to see how incredibly profitable that can be.” He even has a plan to bake pizzas as they’re being delivered!

Pair Summer Beers with the Right Pizzas
If you’re struggling to pair your summer beers with the right pizzas, keep this tip in mind: Summer beers are typically light, so they shouldn’t be paired with highly flavorful pizzas. A classic Margherita makes for the perfect pizza partner, while wheat beers and session IPAs work better with flavor-packed pies.
