UNO Pizzeria & Grill is putting customers in charge of building their own pies for National Pizza Week—and not just by rattling off a list of toppings to the server. The “Be Your Own Pizza Chef” promotion is a much more interactive, engaging—and, as far as PMQ can tell—unique approach.
For a special price, all of the ingredients, including a choice of deep-dish or thin-crust dough plus cheese, sauce and a choice of up to three toppings, are brought directly to the guests’ table. Customers can then craft their masterpiece by filling in the sauce and cheese and topping the pizza with their own two hands. They can build it as a classic pie or show off their artistic side, essentially designing their own pizza canvas creation.
UNO Pizzeria & Grill’s team then takes the prepped pizza to the kitchen, bakes it and returns it to the table.

In addition to enjoying the fun of building their own pizza, guests can upload a picture of their pie to Facebook or Instagram to enter for a chance to win up to $500 in UNO’s gift cards. They must include the hashtag #UNOpizzachef with their picture to be entered.
This experience offer runs the entire week of January 13 through 17.
UNO also has been highlighting its various pizza styles in other National Pizza Week deals, including:
Monday, January 13: $6 for individual thin-crust cheese and pepperoni pizzas
Tuesday, January 14: With an adult entrée purchase for dine-in, kids eat free in a “Make Your Own Pizza” party from 4 through 8 p.m. That includes a pizza and a snowman cupcake.
Wednesday, January 15: $6 for individual deep-dish cheese and pepperoni pizzas
Thursday, January 16: Buy one Detroit-style pie and get a second one for 50% off.
Friday, January 17: Guests can buy any pizza and receive their choice of select appetizers for only $8.
