We all know pizza’s good for the soul. Jordan Faeth of Love Is Blind, the Netflix reality TV show, knows it too. And his love for “depression pizza” has proven good for Mikey’s Late Night Slice in Columbus.
After an argument with his fiancé, Amber, in episode 10, Faeth felt he had nowhere to turn and no one to share his feelings with. So he comforted himself with an order of the Plain-Ass Pepperoni pizza paired with garlic sauce from Mikey’s. That “cameo” appearance lasted for about 12 seconds, but it made Mikey’s an around-the-nation sensation with fans of the TV series. It quickly became the topic of online discussion, with viewers doing searches on Jordan’s favorite “depression pizza” and “emotional support” sauce.
The “Love is Blind Effect” has been palpable at Late Night Slice since the episode aired. Mikey’s Garlic Sauce sales soared by over 5,000% in the first 48 hours.

“We did not have this on our bingo card for 2026,” Late Night Slice founder Mikey Sorboro said. “Jordan leaning on our Plain-Ass Pepperoni with a full bottle of signature Garlic Sauce for comfort really set the ‘Love is Blind Effect’ in motion.”
“Since the episode aired, orders have continued pouring in for sauce bottles, and we’re all-hands-on-deck working to keep up.”
Faeth has also been shooting video promos for Mikey’s on social media, including a March 2 post featuring the brand’s pizza of the week, the Meathead. Meanwhile, Faeth learned how to make the pizza himself in a video posted on Mikey’s YouTube channel.
In another post on March 8, Faeth encouraged fans to enter an online contest to receive 10 free pizzas for their own Love Is Blind Reunion Watch Party.
Sorboro said Faeth “has been a delight to work with in this process,” adding, “This experience has made a ‘Love is Blind’ fan out of me, and we’re riding this wave through to the reunion!”
Mikey’s is also the home of the so-called “hottest pizza in the world”—the Fiery Death, featuring ghost, scorpion and reaper peppers. That comes with a sauce that offers the exact opposite of emotional support for the lonesome and the lovelorn: the Puree Scorpion Pepper Sauce.
