The Feast of the Seven Fishes, an Italian-American tradition, is a grand seafood dinner, usually eaten on Christmas Eve. It was originally intended to be a day of fasting or a period of time to avoid meat, but as with all Italian meals, it often turns into a large feast with more than seven fish on offer.

Over the years, we've seen a growing number of Italian restaurants and pizzerias offer a Feast of the Seven Fishes around the holidays as a way to create community and introduce customers to this festive tradition.

B&B Ristorante at the Venetian in Las Vegas will offer its Feast of Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve and Christmas day for $50 per person, and include seven fish plates such as scallop crudo, cold-smoked sturgeon and calamari.

Osteria via Stato in Chicago will hold its Feast of the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve, with dishes such as lobster and shrimp risotto, grilled octopus and seafood stew paired with sides and dessert for $59.95. 

Slice pizzeria in Philly is cleverly participating in the Feast with its Pizza of the 7 Fishes, topping the mozzarella pie with clams, mussels, shrimp, tuna, crab meat, anchovies, sardines, lemon and basil. The pizzas are $19 for a small and $26 for a large.
