Odd Burger, a vegan fast-food franchise headquartered in London, Ontario, Canada, has launched plant-based pizza at all of its restaurants.

The initiative, which kicked off on January 31, features four personal-sized 8” pizzas: Cheese, Pepperoni, Hawaiian and Plant-Meat Lovers. The pizzas, featuring a hand-tossed crust, are made to order in a minute and a half, thanks to Odd Burger’s “state-of-the-art cooking technology,” the company said.

“We see tremendous potential with our pizza launch, and I believe we’re fulfilling an important need for affordable and delicious plant-based alternatives,” James McInnes, Odd Burger’s founder and CEO, said. “The pizza market is a $160-plus billion-a-year industry, and gaining market share in this sector provides a unique opportunity for Odd Burger.”

The pizza launch is a limited-time offer, allowing the company to assess its sales data and customer feedback to optimize the product. If it’s successful, Odd Burger also plans to test additional alternative crust options like gluten-friendly and low-carb varieties.

Odd Burger Corporation manufactures a proprietary line of plant-based protein and dairy alternatives. Its manufactured products are distributed to Odd Burger restaurant locations through its foodservice line and also sold at grocery retailers through its consumer-packaged goods (CPG) line.

Odd Burger restaurants operate as smart kitchens, which use the aforementioned state-of-the art cooking technology and automation solutions to serve customers craving healthier and more sustainable fast food.
