""Fort Atkinson, Wis.– The Sunshine Burger & Specialty Food Company has introduced one of the only certified organic, vegan, gluten-free and soy free veggie burger product lines to the foodservice industry.

 Sunshine Burgers are made with organic raw ground sunflower kernels, organic brown rice and a variety of other organic whole food ingredients to create four distinct flavors.  The foodservice products currently available include a Breakfast Patty (2.67 oz.), Falafel Patty (2.67 oz.), Garden Herb Patty (2.67 oz. and 4 oz.) and Southwest Patty (2.67 oz. and 4 oz.).  All Sunshine Burgers are fully cooked, oven browned, frozen for freshness, and easy to reheat in minutes.

 “With a greater concern over food allergies and intolerances, foodservice professionals are becoming more and more interested in products like Sunshine Burgers which are made without artificial ingredients, preservatives, gluten or other allergens,” said Cole Jones, General Manager. 

 According to Jones, the company takes great pride that all of the ingredients used in their veggie burgers are ingredients a chef or a customer can pronounce.  In addition to the foodservice product line, Sunshine Burger also sells products through major grocery retailers like Whole Foods Markets, Harris-Teeter, Hannaford Brothers, Raley’s and Publix Greenwise, as well as independent health food stores and co-ops nationwide.
