San Ramon, Calif., June 29, 2011 — Straw Hat Pizza, the original California Pizza since 1959, announced it has opened its newest restaurant in Dallas at 6959 Arapaho Rd. at Hillcrest Village Shopping Center. The new Straw Hat Pizza is owned by local franchisee Gurdeep Singh.

“We hope the whole community comes by to taste why Straw Hat Pizza has been around for more than 50 years, and to try our famous pizza,” said Singh.  “Our location is the newest look – the new generation of Straw Hat,” he said.

The Straw Hat Pizza is 3200 square feet with two colorful wall murals depicting the 53 year old pizza brand’s history and its California heritage.  Other standout features include a full bar with seating area and premium beer and wine, a Kid’s Clubhouse with fun video games, and a meeting or party room to accommodate any occasion.  Straw Hat Pizza’s menu also offers guests a bountiful 42 item salad bar, Hot Hat sandwiches and of course the famous pizza, also available in gluten-free.

The new Straw Hat Pizza is located at 6959 Arapaho Rd., Dallas, TX, 75248, and can be reached by calling 972-458-9500.  The new location offers catering for large events, groups and fundraisers, dine-in, take-out and delivery.  Restaurant hours are 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Sunday – Thursday and Friday and Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
