Stoner’s Pizza Joint is set to open a new corporate-owned location in Fayetteville, North Carolina, soon as it continues to grow like, well, a weed.

The brand has set an expansion goal of 100 units to be opened by the end of 2025. Stoner’s has already doubled its footprint in the last two years.

The chain was featured on PMQ Pizza’s cover in April 2021 and is known for its memorable stoner-culture slogan, “Get Baked,” while the leaf in its logo just might signify marijuana, but you didn’t hear that from us.

In February 2024, Stoner’s Pizza Joint, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, announced that it’s expanding to Dallas this year with a five-unit signed franchise agreement, including stores in the Sachse, Rowlett, Wylie, McKinney and Frisco markets.

Additionally, Stoner’s opened a store in Laurens, South Carolina, in January 2024, and plans to take over a former Dairy Queen restaurant in Fayetteville. Another store is planned for Travelers Rest, North Carolina.

Stoner’s Pizza Joint was founded in 2013 and launched its franchising program in late 2018. It’s particularly interested in college-towns markets in the Southeast region.

Prospective franchisees should have a minimum net worth of $250,000, the company said. The ideal candidate is a proven multi-unit operator in the restaurant industry with a strong knowledge of their market. Stoner’s Pizza Joint’s Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) reveals an estimated initial investment range of $90,000 to $206,000 for the first location, including a franchise fee of $25,000.
