Yum! Brands and the Unified Foodservice Purchasing Co-op recently hosted their ninth annual STAR Awards gala to honor top suppliers to the system. The event was held on May 8th at the Marriott Legacy Town Center Hotel in Plano, Texas. Stoelting Foodservice Equipment was awarded the YUM Brands STAR (Supplier Tracking Assessment & Recognition) Award.

Stoelting Foodservice Equipment’s soft serve and slush equipment was an integral piece in the recent system-wide rollout of the A&W Sweets and Treats Program earning them the A&W Supplier of the Year Award. This is the first time ever that A&W gave the award to an equipment supplier instead of the award going to a food product supplier.

Approximately 30 suppliers were awarded by YUM Brands organization. “We are honored to have this group of suppliers in our system,” said Dan Woodside, president and CEO of UFPC. “Their passion for superior execution and drive for continual improvement raises the performance level of our entire system.”
Bob Rada, Regional Sales Manager, played a lead role in this achievement, along with the entire Stoelting team, from manufacturing, materials, engineering, customer service, to sales and marketing. Stoelting is proud of the quality teamwork and dedication that contributed to this recognition.
