State Closes Eatery for Not Paying Sales Tax

According to a news report from nwanews.com, “A local restaurant was forced to close its doors Wednesday after failing to pay its sales tax.”

“Hogwild Pizzeria, located at 1200 N. Garland Ave., now has five business days to request an administrative hearing,” said the story. “We posted that business yesterday,” Will Keadle said Thursday. He is attorney supervisor for the Office of Revenue Legal Counsel in the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration. According to the department, business closure orders are issued if a business fails to file its monthly sales tax or permit sales dues three times during a 24-month consecutive period.”
