SpeedLine POS Targets Video Security Vendors with New EventStream SDK™

LYNDEN, WA—April 24, 2009—SpeedLine POS announced the beta release of EventStream SDK™. The new developer’s toolkit allows video security companies and other third-party solution providers open access to real-time data, including point of sale transactions and user information, as well as time clock and bank activity.

 

“Loss prevention at the point of sale is a concern for most restaurant operators,” said SpeedLine vice-president of development Terry Haan. “We are actively seeking new partnerships with video surveillance solution providers to give SpeedLine POS users a choice of integrated security camera solutions to deter theft and identify offenders.”

 

EventStream SDK is a free software developer’s kit, including a well-documented API, demo application, and samples.

 

Future EventStream integrations will support real-time event notifications and alerts as well as network monitoring systems.
