Jason Martin, an Oklahoma pizzeria operator, has a special motivation to support Special Olympics by offering free pizza at his new store: His son. Jordan Martin is a Special Olympian competing in swimming, basketball and bowling — when he's not helping his dad out at Your Pie, which opened the week of September 11.

In a report on KFOR Channel 4's Rise and Shine morning show, Jason and Jordan, along with Meg Corn of Oklahoma Special Olympics, talked about the worldwide event that challenges 4.4 million special needs athletes in 220 programs around the world. The trio also promoted the availability of the new fast-casual pizzeria's soft-opening special, offering customers free 10-inch personalized pizzas in exchange for a donation to Special Olympics. "We offer our customers the chance to create their own pizzas with our hand-tossed dough baked in our brick oven with the toppings of their choice," Jason Martin says. Corn calls Special Olympics' relationship with Your Pie a "great partnership," and Jordan Martin says swimming is his favorite sport as a versatile special athlete.
