June 2, 2007 (Florence, KY) – Snappy Tomato Pizza is bringing back its popular Win in a Snap scratch-and-win game, which rewards customers with iPods, FREE pizza, discounted offers and more. Every customer is a winner, and one lucky customer from each location will win FREE pizza for a year! The promotion began May 28th and runs through July 28th.
“Win in a Snap has been a successful promotion for us because we are finding fun ways to provide our customers with bounce-back offers,” says Bret Witte, Snappy Tomato Pizza Marketing Director. “Essentially, we give them reasons to come back to our restaurants to eat and play. Every card is a winner of some sort, so winning FREE or discounted offers each time is the reality. The grand prize of FREE pizza for one year is awarded locally at each location. This makes winning this contest very achievable; therefore customers are even more apt to play and play often. We are not big on introducing gimmicks to our customers in order to increase volume. We feel our product stands on its own because it’s really that good. However in today’s competitive industry, a little creative marketing to encourage repeat business and reward loyalty goes a very long way.”
Snappy Tomato Pizza was started as a single independent pizza operation in 1978 in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. The company slowly expanded and began franchising in the early 1980s. The modern era of Snappy Tomato Pizza started in 1993, when Northern Kentucky-entrepreneur Charles Deters purchased the company, and The Deters Company became the franchisor. A new focus for growth in the Midwest and Southeast became the company’s success story. New divisions of Snappy Tomato Pizza were formed, and area developers were put in place to provide support and guidance to the new franchisees. Snappy has seen quite a bit of growth in recent years, more than doubling in size in the past nine years. “In addition to seeking more qualified franchisees, more of our single-unit owners are becoming multi-unit owners. This speaks very loudly of their success and in their confidence in our brand,” Witte says.
Today, Snappy Tomato Pizza has grown to more than 75 locations and continues to expand, thanks to an improved product and sound development. “Taste the Snappy Difference,” the motto of the company, was put in place to highlight the high level of quality ingredients and the fresh dough made daily inside each location. Their concept has been recognized in a number of restaurant publications, most recently appearing in Restaurant Business as number 39 in a list of the “Future 50” chains of tomorrow that are “growing like mad.”
