Slice House by Tony Gemignani has officially arrived in Idaho. The fast-casual pizza brand—led by 13-time world pizza champion Tony Gemignani—will celebrate the grand opening of its first Gem State location on Saturday, Nov, 1 in Meridian, a suburb of Boise.

The opening-day festivities will include an appearance by Gemignani, Slice House hat giveaways for the first 50 guests and a raffle with the chance to win free pizza for a year. The restaurant will operate seven days a week, offering indoor seating for 34 guests, space for 62 on its private patio, takeout and delivery and online ordering coming soon.

“We couldn’t be more excited to officially expand Slice House to Idaho and become a part of the Meridian community,” Gemignani said. “Every new opening is meaningful, but this one stands out as it marks our very first location in the state.”

Franchised and operated by Jamey and Steve Cutter and Clark Morton, the Meridian shop will serve Gemignani’s celebrated lineup of New York, Sicilian, Grandma and Detroit-style pizzas—available by the slice or whole pie—with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options included. The menu extends to pastas, wings and salads alongside craft beer, premium wines and non-alcoholic drinks. The location’s signature exclusive, the Huckleberry Pie pizza, is available by the slice only and features Larchwood Farms huckleberry jam, purple and baby red potatoes, applewood-smoked bacon, Romano cheese and a side of sour cream.

Gemignani—known for his much-lauded Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco—has spent recent years navigating a new challenge: transitioning Slice House from a local slice shop into a franchise built for national growth. Rather than taking a high-speed expansion approach, Gemignani told PMQ Pizza, Slice House has invested in seasoned leadership, tech-forward training systems and operational simplification to protect product consistency as the company grows.

That disciplined strategy appears to be paying off. There are now more than 25 Slice House restaurants open nationwide, with Meridian representing the latest move into new markets. The brand’s approach includes thorough franchisee vetting and a multi-week, hands-on training process designed to ensure operators can uphold Gemignani’s quality standards—down to scratch-made dough and a 38-person staffing model. For the Cutters and Morton, the Meridian opening represents both business opportunity and personal passion.

“From the moment we started this journey with Tony, our goal has been to create a place where people could gather, relax, and enjoy incredible pizza made with craft and care,” Steve Cutter said via press release. Located in the new Orchard Park development—just off the U.S. 20/26 corridor—the restaurant sits amid retail, wellness and community hubs, positioning Slice House as a convenient destination for locals and visitors alike.
