New York City may have the infamous “Pizza Rat,” but last Friday at the Mets v. Cubs game, Chicago revealed its own famous pizza thief: a seagull.
In the fourth inning with Mets in the lead, the seagull suddenly appeared on Wrigley Field scarfing down a half-eaten slice of pizza. Perhaps it appeared to rally the Chicago Cubs, but either way, it got the best view of the game to enjoy dinner with before an employee confiscated its slice.
Can’t a bird just enjoy a slice in peace? pic.twitter.com/JPh8WBrOAo

This decision (or maybe its own presence) may have cursed Chicago Cubs since it lost by one point soon after. But the seagull will live on as a legend among Pizza Rat and Calzone Crocodile.
“Pizza Seagull” at Wrigley Field is my new spirit animal. (Sorry, Pizza Rat in New York and Calzone Crocodile in Tallahassee). pic.twitter.com/YVso0k3ExL
