Just like its dough, the popularity of Rotolo’s Pizzeria is rising. The casual Italian restaurant chain has added another location to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, now open and located at 8342 Perkins Road. The restaurant offers dine-in, take-out and catering seven days a week.

What sets the pizzeria apart? Fresh ingredients, says Mitch Rotolo, founder of the franchise.

“The cooks that run our kitchen take pride that we make our dough from scratch daily at each location,” said Rotolo, n""oting that its homemade sauce is made from tomato paste and garlic. “It’s a fairly simple recipe. But the fact that it is fresh has made a difference.”

Diners can choose from a well-rounded menu of pizzas, calzones, pastas, sandwiches, wraps, salads and more. The Perkins store also serves a new customer favorite, gelato.

With now 21 successful locations in Louisiana, Alabama and Florida, the rapidly expanding Italian restaurant franchise is on a roll, with eight more locations scheduled to open before the end of the year. This spring will bring new locations in LaPlace, Harvey and Destin, FL, followed by locations in Lafayette and Lake Charles by mid-summer. 

“We’ve grown our franchise by over 50 percent last year alone, and we plan to grow by another 50 percent in 2012,” Rotolo said.

Currently in Prarieville, LA, Rotolo’s corporate headquarters will move to Baton Rouge, LA this summer at its upcoming restaurant location and training facility on Millerville Road.

“We got our start in Baton Rouge, and we plan to open our world class training facility and corporate office there,” Rotolo said, noting that the Millerville location will the chain’s model for quality and top-notch service.
