• A member of the Pizza Hall of Fame, the historic Riverview Inn has a 4.5 star rating on Yelp and 4.7 stars on Google.
  • The spacious, old-style family-run pizzeria is known for its up-to-date and innovative menu, live music and community involvement.

Lisa Burich, owner of the beloved Riverview Inn in Saukville, Wisconsin, is ready to retire, but she wants her family’s 58-year-old pizzeria to keep on thriving.

Founded in 1963 by Arthur and Darlene Wille, Riverview Inn has a 4.5 star rating on Yelp and 4.7 stars on Google. As a Saukville institution, it has weathered numerous recessions and even a pandemic while passing from the Willes to their daughters and always staying in touch with the changing times. After her sister Cindy retired from the business, Burich took over the reins in 2016. Now, she’s putting the restaurant up for sale while her three children pursue non-food careers.

The Riverview Inn’s kitchen has been serving delicious pizzas for 58 years.

Located at 3172 North Riverside Drive, the historic pizzeria has been honored as a member of the Pizza Hall of Fame and is considered a local institution. The building itself spans 2,685 square feet on a sprawling two-acre lot, with ample parking, an outdoor bar/deck and a stage for live music, all of which are included in the sale. There’s even a two-bedroom living quarters with its own separate entrance, which can be rented out for extra income.

“I’m looking for an owner who will keep our very successful pizzeria alive and deeply embedded in the Saukville community,” Burich said.

Burich noted that she will share the restaurant’s delicious recipes with the new owner and train their staff in the transition process.

Riverview Inn is more than an old-style family-run pizzeria. Its innovative menu offers monthly signature pies such as the Roasted Butternut Prosciutto, the Ultimate Veggie, the Thai Chicken and even the Peach Streusel Dessert pizza. Non-pizza entrees feature perch, cod and even cheese-stuffed shrimp. Burgers and chicken tenders are also on the menu, as well as the Pizza Burger, made with Italian sausage, mozzarella and marinara sauce.
