They join Rich’s Authentically Italian Portfolio, introduced earlier this year, which allows operators and retailers to satisfy consumer demand for Italian-inspired artisanal pizzas delivered in easy-to-execute formats.
According to Technomic’s Pizza Industry Report (November 2023), more than 70% of pizza operators agree that they are experimenting more with globally inspired pizzas and pizza ingredients than they were two years earlier. The Gen Z and Millennial demographics have the highest pizza order frequency and the strongest demand for artisan and Italian formats of pizza, per the Datassential SNAP Keynote Pizza 2024.
The new Gluten Free Cauliflower Pinsa will satisfy consumers seeking plant-based menu items. Gluten-free pies are now found on 13.6% of pizza menus, from local pizzerias to quick-service and fast-food restaurants, catering to both gluten-intolerant and health-minded individuals, according to the 2023 Technomic report.

Rich’s Roman Style Pizza Dough Balls were carefully developed to create an authentic Roman Style Pizza, one of the “great classics” of Italian street food. The uniquely formulated high-hydration dough is made with “00” style high-gluten flour. It is typically baked in a rectangular pan and cut into smaller squares or rectangles for serving, forming a delectable crust that’s crispy on the outside and soft, light, and airy on the inside. The 23-ounce dough balls arrive pre-portioned and ready to thaw, proof, stretch, top and bake into authentic Roman Style pies or other signature creations, including calzones, stromboli, breadsticks, sandwich carriers, and more. These two new items are part of Rich’s Authentically Italian Pizza Portfolio.
