Steak-EZE Philly Cheesesteak Pizza



Sauteed Onions & Peppers:
  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 4 lbs., 4 oz. sliced onions
  • 4 lbs., 4 oz. sliced red and green bell peppers
  • 1 c. chopped fresh oregano leaves
  • 2 T. salt
  • 2 T. pepper
  • 1 c. olive oil
  • 24 4 oz. Steak-EZE BreakAway Steak
  • 2-1/2 oz. minced garlic
  • 2 T. salt
  • 2 T. black pepper
  • 24 unbaked individual pizza crusts (approximately 8 inches)
  • 3 lbs. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 3 lbs. shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Sliced pickled cherry peppers to taste


To make sauted onions & peppers:
In pan, heat oil until hot. Saute onions and peppers until tender. Season with oregano, salt and pepper. Cover and set aside. Yield: 24 cups.

For each pizza, to order:
In pan, heat 1 tsp. oil until hot. Add 1 portion Steak-EZE; cook until bottom is browned. Turn over. When Steak-EZE begins to soften, add 1 tsp. garlic, 1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. pepper; break up beef with spatula, stirring to cook evenly. Cook until some pink remains, remove from heat. Sprinkle 2 oz. Jack cheese and 2 oz. mozzarella cheese over crust. Top with Steak-EZE and 1 cup sauteed onion and pepper mix. Bake in 500 oven for 10-15 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Garnish with cherry peppers, as desired.
