Crab and Wild Mushroom Pizza


Makes 4 pizzas


2 T. olive oil

8 oz. mixed mushrooms, including baby bella, shiitake, oyster and enoki, thinly sliced

4 prepared 8" pizza shells

2 c. diced fire-roasted tomatoes, drained

16 cloves garlic, roasted and slightly mashed

2 c. smoked Gouda cheese, shredded

2 c. shredded low-moisture part-skim mozzarella cheese

8 slices thick-cut peppered bacon, cooked and finely chopped

8 oz. Phillips Backin Crab Meat


Preheat the oven to 450F. Heat olive oil in medium saute pan and saute mushrooms over medium heat 5 to 7 minutes, or until softened. Stir in mashed garlic cloves and set aside to cool. In a small bowl, mix the Gouda and mozzarella cheeses together.

For each pizza:

Spread 1/2 c. diced tomatoes over the pizza crust. Top with about 1/2 c. of the mushroom/garlic mixture, then 1/2 c. mixed cheese, 2 T. chopped bacon, 2 oz. crab meat, and an additional 1/2 c. mixed cheese. 

Bake in preheated oven for 8 to 12 minutes or until toppings are bubbling hot.
