With 40,000+ readers, the PMQ reader census is one of the small ways we can all come together in one place to share what's happening in our industry. 

"We want to deliver the most concise results possible when we share the census results with readers in 2018," says PMQ publisher Steve Green. "We don't need thousands of people to participate in order to pick out trends in the numbers, but we'd like to gather as many responses as we can."

Looking through the numbers so far, we're already seeing interesting trends, such as more than 50% of operators using online ordering, a big leap from the last time we ran a survey. 

Another big surprise so far has been the percentage of operators who say they would be interested in exploring robotics or automation in their kitchens.
