Pizza Hut loses its spot for Best/Most Unusual Pizza Toppings in Fort Wayne, according to a report from FortWayne.com.

“It was neck-and-neck, but when all the votes were counted, Pizzeria Uno Chicago Grill edged out Pizza Hut for Best/Most Unusual Pizza Toppings – by one vote,” the report stated.

The article said, “Pizza Hut captured Best Pizza in 2003, 2004 and 2006. But fans of Uno came through this year.”

In the report, Karl Blust, manager of 10460 Maysville Road’s Uno in Fort Wayne, remains unsure of which toppings are responsible for the win, but considers the Farmer’s Market Pizza a speciality because of the ingredients, including fresh spinach, eggplant, caramelized onions, sun-dried tomatoes, and pesto sauce, all covered with feta, mozzarella, and Romano.
