“After Justin Piazza heard that a Glendale police officer had been killed on duty, he immediately called the police department to offer his help,” reports YourWestValley.com.
“’We’ve been taken care of so well by the police, I wanted to give back,’ he said. Wednesday, Piazza and his wife Rachel got their chance. The two own La Piazza Al Forno, a traditional Italian restaurant in downtown Glendale. With the help of other local businesses, La Piazza donated half of its profits and other donations to the surviving family of Bradley Jones, a Glendale police officer killed during a probation check in October. Other local businesses contributed, as well. GMD Graphics donated the banner, Sir Speedy donated fliers, and others contributed raffle prizes.”
