According to the Macomb Daily, “counterfeit money was used to pay for the delivery of pizza, chicken wings and pop from a Jet’s Pizza shop, Warren police reported Monday.”

“A customer provided three, $10 bills to pay for the order Sunday afternoon from the Jet’s on Ryan Road, near 10 Mile, Detective Sgt. Heidi Metz said. When the 27-year-old deliveryman returned to work, the store owner checked the money and reported that all three bills were fake. Two of the bills had the same serial number, police said. Detectives are investigating who provided the phony money. However, that task could be made easier because the employee reported that he could identify the person who made the payment and the location of the delivery. Investigators suspect the use of the bogus bills in this case was deliberate.”
