“A Fayetteville original that has made a name for itself as a baker of innovative pizza pies is holding a contest to invent a new name for its future locations,” according to the Register-Herald Reporter. “Due to possible trademark conflicts, Pies and Pints pizzeria may need to come up with a new name for locations they hope to open outside of West Virginia. Pies co-owner Kim Shingledecker says she’s looking for something “edgy, hip, unique, (and) different,” perhaps with a play on words. ‘We don’t do typical pizza or beers. Everything we try to do, we try to make it interesting and cool, so that’s what we’d want in a name also,’ she says. If the company decides to use one of the suggested names, Pies will supply them with one free large pizza per week for a year.”
