If you thought Restaurant Week was cool, imagine a Pizza Week, dedicated to highlighting local pizzerias.
This promotion from CityBeat ranks at the top of our list of ultimate pizza promotions.
For seven days, from November 6 to 12, CityBeat, along with sponsor Braxton Brewing Co., ran Cincinnati Pizza Week, an event which recruited 30 local pizzerias to offer $8 pizzas (at least 10") for dine-in customers. All of the pizzerias were listed in a clever pizza week passport.
Each time diners visited a pizzeria, they got their passport stamped. After three stamps, they could enter their passport to win a $250 pizza party from Snappy Tomato Pizza.
Additional prize winning opportunities were presented each time guests used hashtags on social media. Every hashtag equaled a new entry to win gift certificates from participating restaurants.
Would a Pizza Week work in your city? Consider taking the idea to your local tourism board or those who organize your Restaurant Week.
