LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – Anyone who has ever tried to juggle multiple cooking times and temperatures to prepare a special family meal or a hot crisp pizza at home will appreciate the hottest new innovation from GE. The new GE Profile™ Double Oven Freestanding Range offers the largest freestanding total oven capacity in the industry to cook two different dishes – at two different temperatures – at the same time.

Available in two 30” configurations — each with a spacious 6.5 total cu. ft. of cooking space – both ranges feature the 2.1 cu. ft.-capacity upper oven that is ideal for all types of baking, broiling and roasting. It is particularly suited for baking pizzas, fresh or frozen, thanks to the GE exclusive pizza mode.

Imagine pizzeria-quality pizza at home, without tipping the delivery guy. The upper oven has two settings to handle fresh or frozen pizza. This oven has two broil elements and an eight-pass bake element.

  • The electronic oven control delivers specialized performance, with different electronic algorithms, based on the user’s selection of fresh or frozen setting. The customized oven preheat and temperature precisely controls how long and how often the bake and broil elements are energized.

  • Choose fresh and the rack is placed in the bottom rack position with the goal of a beautifully browned top and a true pizzeria style bottom crust.

  • Choose frozen and the combination of cooking control plus rack placement is key to not overcooking the crust or leaving the toppings undercooked.

The PB975 model features a lower oven with the accuracy of GE’s exclusive reversing-fan technology in the PreciseAir™ convection system: it provides optimal heat circulation and temperature accuracy throughout for deliciously browned, evenly baked foods.

The lower, larger ovens of both 30” configurations feature a slow-cook mode with five settings for gently roasting tender beef or rich stews: no separate slow-cooker required! Home chefs will appreciate that there is more room than beforefor cookie sheets, bakeware and roasting pans, with the redesign of the PB975’s true European convection system. Now only 1-1/2” deep, it is a full one-inch thinner than the previous design. Unlike other double ovens, the Profile range includes interchangeable, self-cleaning racks that can be used in either the upper or lower oven. In fact, with so much space, the upper oven can easily cook a 4-quart casserole dish – something the competitions’ upper oven can’t accommodate.

Fitting in the same space as a traditional range, this is an appliance that delivers the ultimate cooking flexibility while eliminating the need for expensive remodeling to add a second oven. Designed with the sleek new Profile aesthetics, the oven features a full stainless steel door, gloss handle and trim, plus heavy-duty knob controls to complement or coordinate with any décor. The oven is available in a choice of stainless steel, white, bisque or black. For peace of mind, a control-lock capability locks the cooktop and oven to prevent unintended activation.

The GE Profile double oven range is available in two 30” models. The PB975 has an estimated retail price of $1949-$1999 in the stainless steel finish, $1749-1799 in white or bisque and $1699-$1749 in black. The PB970 has an estimated retail price of $1749-$1799 in stainless steel, $1549-$1599 in white or bisque and $1499-$1549 in black.
