(Press Release) NEWTON, Iowa, August 2, 2012 – On Saturday, August 4, the NASCAR Nationwide Series will be racing at the Iowa Speedway in the U.S. Cellular 250 presented by the Enlist™ Weed Control System. During the event day, Pizza Ranch will be teaming up with Teen Challenge of the Midwest to collect non-perishable items for their ministry, which exists to be a catalyst for positive change in people’s lives.
“Pizza Ranch is proud to partner with Teen Challenge on this collection event at Iowa Speedway,” stated Perry Kroschell, Director of Mission and Vision for Pizza Ranch. “Teen Challenge is a great organization to partner with to enrich lives in the communities we serve.”
Iowa Speedway track president, Stan Clement, expressed his thoughts about this week’s donation drive as well.
“Both Pizza Ranch and Teen Challenge are great organizations that Iowa Speedway interacts with,” noted Clement. “We feel our fans will support this week’s donation drive and what it represents, helping to change people’s lives for the better.”
Collection times for Teen Challenge of the Midlands will be on Saturday, August 4 at Iowa Speedway at ticket booths 1, 2, and 3, from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. Some of the non-perishable items being requested are: toilet paper, copy paper, large garbage bags, paper plates, napkins, disposable coffee cups, and paper towels. There is also a trailer at ticket booth 2 for fans to drop off lager items.
Tickets for the ‘U.S. Cellular 250 presented by the Enlist ™ Weed Control System’ NASCAR Nationwide Series on Saturday, August 4 start at $55, while tickets to the Friday, August 3, NASCAR K&N Pro Series ‘Pork Be Inspired 150’ race start at $20.
