Toronto, ON – When Agum Bhagria and his wife Sangeeta heard the news that their friend Devinder Paul Thind was opening a restaurant in Manitoba, they were intrigued.
Months after the opening of Thind’s restaurant, the Bhagrias are proud to be following suit as franchisees of Pizza Pizza’s second Winnipeg location, at 2677 Pembina Highway. The opening is part of a Canada-wide strategic expansion, with more restaurants scheduled to open in Manitoba later this year.

The Bhagrias bring experience and enthusiasm to the Pizza Pizza outlet, having worked with and managed a pizza chain for many years.
Thanks to local partners, Pizza Pizza has steadily advanced its expansion throughout the country including new locations in Montreal, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.

Ten full and part-time employees have been hired in preparation for the opening of this new location. The new restaurant is approximately 1,700 square feet, and will focus on takeout and delivery, according to its owner.

Customers will find that Pizza Pizza isn’t just about pizza. The menu at the new location features a wide variety that reflects the company’s offerings in other provinces, including wings, stuffed sandwiches and panzerottis – in addition to the traditional pizza menu that now offers gluten-free and whole wheat multigrain crusts with 25 per cent less sodium than traditional crusts.
