OTTAWA, ONTARIO–(CCNMatthews – April 11, 2007) – Pizza Pizza is teaming up with the Ottawa Senators to make each of the club’s home-ice victories in this year’s Stanley Cup playoffs extra special for fans attending the game at Scotiabank Place.

Starting with tonight’s first game of the playoffs, fans in attendance for a Senators home-ice playoff victory can redeem their game ticket for a free a pepperoni or cheese slice at traditional Pizza Pizza restaurants.

The Stanley Cup playoff promotion is a follow-up to Pizza Pizza’s popular regular-season “Six or More” contest in which fans could exchange their ticket stub for a free pizza slice when the Senators scored six or more goals in a home game. The Senators accomplished this feat seven times at Scotiabank Place during the 2006-07 regular-season schedule.

“We’ve decided to run the promotion in the playoffs, but relate it to winning the game, rather than scoring six or more goals,” said Pat Finelli, vice-president of marketing for Pizza Pizza. “When you get into the playoffs, it’s tough enough to get wins, let alone score a given number of goals. This way, every home-ice win by the Senators brings the team a step closer to the Stanley Cup, and it gives the fans in attendance something extra to savour.”

The promotion is valid for a 24-hour period beginning the day after the qualifying game.
