Pizza Hut’s marketing department is getting into the Halloween spirit—and doubling down on its Wing Wednesday campaign. The brand is unveiling “various spooky tactics to scare the competition” by reminding consumers of its latest value deal: 20 ‘Lil Wings for $10.
In the Dallas market—which happens to be home to Wingstop—the largest wing chain in the U.S.—Pizza Hut purchased billboard placements with messaging like “no one out wings the hut.” The advertisements also include details about its wings offerings.
According to Pizza Hut, “to keep the scares coming,” the brand will also be dropping news about its promotion on Reddit threads where users have shared their wing complaints about other restaurants. The second-largest pizza chain in the world is all too happy to let people know of its Wing Wednesday deal, as well as its Big Dinner Box: 2 medium 1-topping pizzas, 5 breadsticks and 8 boneless wings starting at $19.99.
